Many people have heard about the name, or about the oil, but not all have stopped to find out exactly what it is.
Rick Simpson Oil is named after Rick Simpson, a Canadian cannabis activist who made the cannabis oil for himself back in 2003 after he was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma skin cancer. He remembered hearing about a study in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute which found that THC could kill cancer cells in mice and supposed correctly that cannabis could kill cancer cells in humans too. RSO is highly-concentrated cannabis oil extracted from female cannabis plants that contain at least 20 percent THC or more. RSO is made by stripping the resin from a plant by soaking the buds in rubbing alcohol then heating the resin and alcohol in a rice cooker. The heat reduces the oil down to a very potent dose of cannabis. Simpson prefers plants with high-THC and low-CBD content for his oil. The finished product is about 60-90% THC.
While his method of making the oil is not new, he has brought it to the masses and made it more mainstream.
Simpson made the oil at home, put it on the cancerous spots on his skin, let them sit, and four days later his skin was pink and healthy.
He excitedly brought this news to his doctor but was met with disbelief and disdain for his cure. In the coming years Simpson would find opposition at every corner. From local law enforcement agencies, government health agencies, pharmaceutical companies and even the United Nations. Despite this opposition, Simpson has charged on to treat over 5,000 patients with his oil. Conditions RSO can cure outright, lessen the symptoms of, or make patients more comfortable in end-stages include cancer, asthma, depression, insomnia, HIV/AIDS, diabetes, psoriasis and osteoporosis. Simpson does not charge for his services to patients.
Simpson knows he is doing important work. Even after having his home raided and having well over 2,600 of his cannabis plants cut down, he is not deterred and continues to serve patients.
Making RSO at home is very risky. If you don't take proper precautions your oil can explode. Luckily, the oil is available at many California dispensaries including True Healing Collective so you don't have to put yourself at risk while making the oil.
Please be sure to visit Simpson’s website to get specific dosage information as well as details on what to expect during treatment. The first few weeks of treatment can be very intense. You should not start treatment without fully researching this oil.

. ** Please note that while making your own RSO is simple, it is also very dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing. True Healing Collective does not encourage you to make your own RSO without being fully versed on the recipe. We are not responsible for any personal or physical damage that occurs should you decide to make the oil on your own.
